FAQ

Is teeth whitening with these gels safe?

Yes, when used as directed. Opalescence PF and Pola Night are professional-grade gels that contain potassium nitrate and fluoride to protect enamel and reduce sensitivity. They are intended for adults aged 18 and over.

What is the difference between 10% and 16%?

The percentage refers to the carbamide peroxide concentration. 10% is gentler and ideal for overnight wear and sensitive teeth. 16% works faster in shorter sessions. Both give lasting results.

Opalescence or Pola, which should I choose?

Both are excellent. Opalescence PF is a thicker, sustained-release gel sold in packs of two syringes. Pola Night is a high-water, neutral-pH gel sold by the syringe. Choose based on your preference and budget.

How long until I see results?

Most people see a visible difference within one to two weeks of consistent daily use.

Will it make my teeth sensitive?

Some people feel mild, temporary sensitivity. The potassium nitrate and fluoride in the gel help reduce this. If it happens, take a night off and start with the 10% strength.

Do I need a whitening tray?

Yes. These gels are applied in a custom or boil-and-bite whitening tray. Your dentist can make a custom tray for the best fit.

Do the gels need refrigeration?

They do not need refrigeration during shipping. For the best shelf life, store them in a cool place away from direct sunlight once they arrive.

Where do you ship?

We ship across the European Union with free standard shipping. Orders are dispatched within 1 to 2 business days.

Can I whiten crowns, veneers or fillings?

No. Whitening gel only lightens natural tooth enamel. It will not change the colour of crowns, veneers, bridges or fillings.

Can I use it if I am pregnant?

No. Whitening is not recommended during pregnancy or breastfeeding. Please consult your doctor or dentist.
